HEARTS THAT DRUM TOGETHER BEAT TOGETHER

Bring the magic of music to your world

“Group drumming stimulates behavioural and physiological synchronisation that contribute to the formation of social bonds and a consequent ability to cooperate.”  ScienceDaily, 21st May 2020

Drumming, particularly in groups, is known to enhance wellbeing through lowering stress and blood pressure; improving circulation and cardio function; burning calories; and relieving depression.  MRI scans have also given a glimpse into how learning to play an instrument lights up practically every area of the brain at once.

Research has also shown that drumming increases alpha and theta brainwaves as well as brainwave synchronisation.  This leads to increased creativity, improved problem-solving and benefits to the immune system.

Off Beat Workshops provide fun and inclusive music workshops for events, parties, schools, workplaces and community groups. Specialising in group drumming, but offering work with other combinations of instruments, we can help you build bonds within your groups, through the energising power of music.

We’ve all lived through challenging times over the last couple of years, with classes and teams being fragmented through lockdowns and changes to our ways of working. This has left many of us feeling disconnected from colleagues, peers and friends. Now is a great time to get reconnected in person, working and living more harmoniously!

Our workshops leave participants feeling inspired, energised and feeling the joy and sense of connection that playing music with others brings.

We offer workshops specially designed to meet your requirements, or if you are an individual looking to feel the joy of group drumming, you can join one of our scheduled Samba drumming classes.

Drumming lessons are also available for individuals looking to get started on their drumming journey, or who’d like to brush up on their skills.
